Hamakua Coast and Sugar Tour

Our first stop will be at rainbow falls, home of the moon goddess hina, and one of the most visited waterfalls on the island. We will drive up the east coast of the island, which was once covered in sugarcane plantations. You will see waterfalls, lush greenery, tropical flowers, papaya fields, and stunning views of the ocean.

Stop for pictures along the way at several scenic spots overlooking the bay of Hilo. A guest favorite stop is laupahoehoe point, a perfect picnic spot overlooking the blue ocean. You’ll visit mokuola, the city of refugees, also now known as coconut island. Your guide will share with you the deep history that goes along with this place.
